Dealer questions
How does auction buying work?
You send us the lot and your maximum bid, pay a security deposit, and we bid for you. If we win, you pay the balance within 48 hours.
How much deposit do I need?
Your buying limit is five times your deposit: USD 1,000 covers up to USD 5,000, USD 2,000 up to USD 10,000, USD 3,000 up to USD 15,000 and USD 5,000 up to USD 25,000. Open bids and unpaid wins count together against the limit.
What happens to my deposit if I don’t win?
It stays in your account for your next bid request, or you can ask for a refund (bank charges apply).
What is included in “Auction & inland charges”?
One combined charge that covers auction house fees, the recycling fee, inland transport in Japan and Japanese taxes. Repairs are added only after you agree.
How do I pay?
By international bank transfer (T/T) to Khan Trading Co., Ltd. in Japan. The bank details are on your proforma invoice.
Who pays the bank charges?
The buyer pays all bank charges, including intermediary bank fees.
How do I avoid payment fraud?
Only pay to the company account shown on your official invoice. We never ask you to pay a personal account. If in doubt, contact us on our official WhatsApp before paying.
Which currency do I pay in?
Invoices are normally in US dollars. Ask us if you need another currency.
